A homeowner posts a job
They choose the trade, describe the work, give a budget range, when they want it done and their postcode, and confirm it with a code. Their details stay hidden.
You see it first
Gardeners who cover that postcode district see the job on the Jobs page in the app, and by email if they ask for it. You read the job before you spend anything.
Unlock it for 2 or 3 credits
You get the homeowner’s name, phone and email and the job’s address, for this job only. At most 3 trades can take each job; then it closes. Dead number or fake job? Report it and the credits come back. 2 credits for a job under £1,000 or with no budget, 3 from £1,000.
The work homeowners describe
Our homeowner page for gardeners helps people describe jobs like these:
- Regular upkeep: mowing, weeding, hedge trimming, borders and leaf clearing.
- One-off clearances of overgrown gardens, with the green waste taken away.
- Planting, turfing and simple landscaping.
- Tree work, which is usually a tree surgeon's job rather than a gardener's.
- Fences, sheds and paving, which some gardeners do and some leave to a handyman or landscaper.
What homeowners are told to ask you
We tell homeowners to ask these before they hire a gardener. Answer them in your listing and your first call:
- Do you take the waste away, and are you a registered waste carrier?
- Is the price per visit or per hour, and what is included?
- Will you look for nesting birds before cutting a hedge? (Damaging an active nest is against the law.)
- For tree work: are you a tree surgeon, and have you asked the council about protected trees?
- Do you have public liability insurance?
Registers homeowners look for
There is no register for gardeners. Before cutting back or felling a tree, ask your council whether it has a Tree Preservation Order or is in a conservation area. Anyone who takes your waste away must be a registered waste carrier: look them up on the Environment Agency's public register on GOV.UK. For tree surgery, the Arboricultural Association lists approved contractors. Put your registration or membership number in your listing’s description so homeowners can look it up.

Fair questions
How many trades get each lead?
3 at most. When 3 trades have taken a job, it closes. You and the homeowner both see how many have taken it.
What if the number is dead or the job is fake?
Report a website lead within 30 days and the credits you spent on it come back at once, up to 3 times a month. More reports than that are looked at by a person.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Search is sorted by distance and rating from matched jobs. Your plan gives you leads and call answering, not a better place. We tell homeowners this beside every list of trades.
Where are the jobs?
Anywhere in the UK: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You choose the postcode districts you cover. We are new, so jobs in your area may be few at first.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are monthly, or yearly (10 months' price for 12), paid by card through Stripe, and you can cancel any time in your dashboard. A plan ends at the end of the month or year you paid for.
